Snow Falls in Sahara Desert for the first time 37 years

If it is asked which would be the last place where you expect a snowfall, first name flashes in mind is Sahara Desert. But the it gets its due this year with a snowfall for the first time in over 37 years.

Amateur photographer Karim Bouchetata was there to capture the breathtakingly beautiful scenes.

“Today…my beautiful city,” was the only caption Bouchetata gave the collection of images he published on Facebook on Monday.

People of the small desert town of Ain Sefra in Algeria woke up yesterday to find that the red sand dunes had unexpectedly turned white.
